Tulamben Snorkeling
The USAT Liberty Shipwreck is Bali's premier dive site, but the beauty of this hystorical WWII casualty is that it lies from 3 meters, meaning it can be snorkeled from the surface; it also enjoys favourable conditions making it perfect for snorkeling.
Marine Life: the resident school of trevally never ceases to impress snorkelers, you can also witness anemone fish, lion fish, scorpion fish, moray eels and schools of brightly coloured harlequin sweetlips, either hiding out or swimming openly around the wreck. The dark volcanic sandy bottom only adds to the mystery of this shipwreck, making it a unique snorkeling adventure - oh and keep an eye out for those blue spotted sting rays, they like to bury themselves beneath the sand.
Water Temperature: Tulamben waters rarely drop below 28 degrees all year round.

- Sunscreen, the Bali sun can be fierce on snorkelers.
- Snacks for the journey such as fruit or crackers, they'll tide you over until you eat at lunch time.
- Try wearing one of our long wetsuits, (they're included), they'll ptotect you from scrapes on the rocky beach.
- Photo opportunity - keep an eye out for the local porters in Tulamben, local women carrying two sets of Scuba Dive equipment on their heads!
The USAT Liberty shipwreck is awesome but how about snorkeling at Nusa Penida/Lembongan and maybe trying your luck at seeing some manta rays?
